Advanced Technology in Charlotte, NC

At Stewart Dental Group, we understand that undergoing a dental procedure—or even just a checkup and cleaning—can be nerve-racking for many patients. We proudly utilize the most advanced technology on the market for a patient experience that is comfortable, seamless and efficient. By using up-to-date technology, our team can ensure your smile results will be accurate and precise. Explore our technology options below!

From digital X-rays to intraoral scanners and 3D imaging, our tools help us diagnose and treat with unmatched precision. These innovations also allow us to minimize discomfort, reduce treatment time, and improve outcomes for every patient.

Digital
X-Rays

Our team uses several types of X-rays to diagnose different dental issues. Common X-rays include a bitewing scan, an occlusal scan and a panoramic scan. A bitewing scan can help your dentist to diagnose tooth decay, particularly between the teeth. An occlusal scan shows how your top and bottom teeth fit together, and helps to detect issues with the palate. Finally, a panoramic scan rotates around your head to help our team plan for dental implants, better analyze jaw and bite issues and look for wisdom teeth.

Laser Cavity
Detectors

Oftentimes, cavities can go undetected, as they do not always display symptoms. A laser cavity detector is a pen-like instrument that can be used to diagnose hidden cavities. This instrument shines a light onto the teeth that are then absorbed and reflected back to a sensor, which displays a digital reading. This reading determines whether a cavity is present. Laser cavity detectors are highly effective, and are a great addition to other detection methods, such as X-rays.

Invisalign®
Aligners

Stewart Dental Group is proud to offer Invisalign®! Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign® clear aligners are removable and discreet. Patients can continue to eat the foods they enjoy and brush and floss their teeth normally. Clear aligner technology means they are made from medical-grade plastic, and are hardly noticeable. This is a great option for patients who want a straighter and healthier smile, but do not want to draw attention to their appliances and prefer a more discreet, invisible option.

Vatech Green X
CBCT Scanner

Our practice stays on top of the forefront of cutting-edge technology in the field of dentistry with innovative digital X-ray imaging systems such as Vatech’s Green X CBCT Scanner. This system allows our team to get a complete picture of temporomandibular joints (TMJ) cases by capturing high-quality images with lower radiation. It also has enhanced diagnostic accuracy, allowing our doctors to provide precise treatment plans for you. Additionally, we are able to perform the scan quickly, leading to greater patient comfort.

Soft-Tissue
Laser

In addition to the laser cavity detector, we also offer the soft-tissue laser. This allows our team to perform dental procedures with more precision. Furthermore, patients experience less bleeding and discomfort and a shorter recovery time.

KOR whitening treatment

For patients who want to brighten their smiles, we offer KOR whitening treatment. KOR is a cost-effective option with reliable results. KOR utilizes custom-fit whitening trays and bleaching gel to brighten the teeth without increasing tooth sensitivity.

Digital
Scanner

The digital scanner can take accurate, 3D impressions of your smile without the goop and gagging associated with traditional impressions! The digital scanner can be utilized for Invisalign treatment, dental implant treatment planning and more.

Intraoral Camera

The intraoral camera allows our dentists to take high-quality images of the inside of your mouth. This helps our team to show you what issues they have detected, and capture tiny cracks or fractures in teeth that may be difficult to see with the naked eye.
