Brightening Your Smile With KöR
Whitening your teeth is an easy and affordable way to elevate your smile. Though it may seem easy enough to do on your own, over-the-counter teeth whitening kits often fail to deliver the results they promise. We offer KöR, a tray-based, easy-to-use professional teeth whitening system for patients to conveniently brighten their teeth from the comfort of their own homes. In addition to at-home treatment, our dentists provide in-office touch-ups to ensure optimal and long-lasting results.
Benefits of KöR Teeth Whitening
Besides brightening your teeth, we find that this whitening system has many distinct advantages over drugstore whitening products. With KöR, you can look forward to the process of whitening your teeth instead of dreading it. This is because KöR:
How To Use KöR Teeth Whitening
Patients interested in this treatment option should begin with a consultation in which our team asks you a series of questions about your dental history and treatment goals. During this time, Dr. Melissa and Randall Stewart will also determine if you qualify for treatment. Patients with certain pre-existing conditions and patients who have enamel damage may also not be able to whiten their teeth because the treatment only affects the surface enamel.
Once patients have been cleared for treatment and custom-fit for their whitening trays, they begin by wearing the first set of trays for a period of two weeks. All trays are filled with KöR’s effective and innovative whitening agent—a special peroxide gel. To keep the ingredients activated, the trays must be refrigerated when not in use. Patients then wear the trays while they sleep, allowing for 6 to 10 hours of wear at a time. After wearing their trays, many patients need to rehydrate their teeth, and drinking room-temperature water is a great way to do so. This will help reduce temporary sensitivity as well.
After the first two weeks of treatment, at-home whitening will continue with one in-office treatment. During the third and fourth weeks of treatment, patients continue at-home use and increase their in-office sessions. The last six to eight weeks involve both at-home and in-office teeth whitening treatments. This may seem like a long process, but it is important to complete every step until the end of your treatment—the results are worth it!
